poems of “the fu”

My real name: a poem of loss.

How much can you love?
How much can you feel?
How much can you care?
How much can you heal?
Hide it now,
that tear,
not for me,
can you hear? Can you hear?
Hear,
their silent cries?
whisper now,
my name,
not the name I gained,
from birth,
from friends,
from peers,
or fears,
but my hidden name,
DADDY, DADDY, DADDY.
How much can you love?
How much can you feel?
How much can you care?
How much can you heal?
